Study break liao. Wahahas.
Arhem. Yarh...so I guess while everyone's busy mugging somewhere, I'm at home just relaxing till...thursday I suppose. When I start to study for F&B.
I'm not really that stressed out, neither am I worried for my exams. Why? Because exams just isn't that near enough to stress me. Ask me again next Monday after my ballet exams and I probably would tell you that I am stressed now because exams is just tomorrow and I don't think I have studied enough...blah blah blah.
But it's only Monday now. ('',)
Huh. I passed by the Jia Le Bakery, or however you called it, yesterday and they wanted a kitchen helper from 1-8pm. Well. If that offer still stands after 8 September, I might go down and take up that job for my vacation break.
Crazy right? To work now. Hehe. But I've been considering my line of work lately. You know, what you want to do after you graduate out of poly. Yes, the NTU will soon have the hospitality managment master degree out by mid of next year but what really interests me?
Tourism doesn't. No, I so am not going to sit behind the desk, surfing the internet and making phone calls to other countries to book plane tickets, hotel, cruise blah blah. Or even to sit down and plan out a holiday for a honeymoon couple to tour the whole of Western Europe in 2 weeks. i think that's pretty boring stuff. What sets the tourism industry apart from hospitality? I mean, both industries are people-oriented. I guess...
I forgot what I guessed.
Anyways... So I was considering the F&B industry. But the thing is, I have no experience in this industry and I know nothing about it. So other than hearing experiences from someone who works or used to work in the F&B industry, or reading a biography of someone who works there...why not give it a shot myself and see how it goes?
I heard the enviroment's...well...dangerous and vulgar. In a sense. But those are mental images, I need to get the actual ones to decide. I know it's only year 1 for me...but planning for the long term isn't wrong. If not, companies like Prudentials wouldn't exist.
I know I'm ranting. Allow me to confess. I'm just bored and my computer is lagging for who knows what reasons. Heh. So there. And also, well, there's no one home right now to talk to...so what can I do but to blog?

WoOt! Check it out!!
I changed the layout of my blog in just an hour or so. Ain't that cool? Goes to show BCS lessons are a help after all the slavings of 3 hours a week of hands-on practice in a freezing lab with a teacher that always gazes at the ceiling and not at us. But she's such a sweetie, so lenient and all. Hees.
Wahahas. Alrights. Counting down 3 weeks to my main exams, and my ballet exam as well. Wish me luck sia, I'll be the first to go into the room for ballet exam. How nice.
At least I can get it over and done with. Then am looking forward to a month and 3 weeks of VACATION BREAK!!
Heh. Even my schoolmates and I are already planning a day, after the exam week, that is the 2nd week of September, to go out together. You know. Watch a movie, shop for identical clothes, giggle at uh, cute and fluffy stuff, teasing and insulting each other. Girl stuff. It's been so hectic with so many projects and assignments and tests and presentation...
Then...my cg leader offered to teach me how to put on make up. And was nagging at me to start dressing up as well, instead of the usual shirt and jeans. I guess I'll have to make a date with her as well...
But yups. Am looking forward and keeping a positive outlook on life. So far so good. Tell me what you think of the new layout.

*My friends and I in front of Esplanade for our Travel Geog field trip regarding our Gourmet Tour that we are suppose to come up with for China tourists as our project. From left: me, Cui Shan, Shalini, Jasmine and Mingzhi. Yeah, I was wearing a half formal attire of long sleeved shirt, straight cut pants and court shoes since it was the day of my presentation.*
29 August 2005. Don't think I'll ever forget this date. This is the day I actually made quite a successful presentation. I PRACTISED BEFORE DOING THE PRESENTATION!!!
Warh! Am so proud of myself. When I asked if there was any questions (i had to, it would be graded as well...), one of my class guys asked me how many times I practised, to which I replied 'a few times' and he complimented me. ^^ No, I'm happy because I was complimented by, not only him, but many others that I was really professional and all for my presentation and it was really good, not because a guy complimented me.
Actually, come to think of it. I don't think I'll score very well for it...because I forgot to give an overview of my topic and I just jumped right into my main points. Crap. Oh wells, at least I tried my best...though halfway through I forget what I'm supposed to say...so I told everyone to 'think about it' (uh, i forgot what I asked them to think about...) and paused so as to remember what else I'm supposed to say. And everyone thought I was letting it sink in their minds when I paused. Hahaz.
5 minutes passed so fast. But, oh well. It's gone and it's done. The mark's there and i can't change it unless I sneak into my teacher's office...
But come to think of it, one of the most popular topic in my class presentation was on web blogging. And. Yeah. I just realised that there may be many many people reading this blog once I posted this up.
But oh wells. There's nothing to hide except...nevermind. Since I decide to blog...well, I am careful with what I write inside larh. Although I am ashamed to look into my first few months of blogging where I was still trying to find my own style of writing and what to write and stuff like that. Heh. Oh, and do you know that I have 2 blogs? Goes to show how much I can waste my time.
I admit I love to write and let my opinions be heard, either through speech or by, uh, blog. But nowadays, I find myself being too blunt. If I have insulted anyone, I really do apologise, it was all seriously unintentional. Am I being plain ignorant or am I really not fearing man?
Nevermind. FOP is coming!!!Hee hees. Can't wait for it. Then again, I might grow lazy and not want to go...waha.
That reminds me of something. There were repeated cases of peeping tom in my CC and both victims were from another teacher's ballet classes. The point is, the victims dance in the dance studio. Ok, so there was this time when I was talking to another one of my fellow dancer about it. She said that if it happened to her, she will throw something and hope that it hits the guy since the passage between the wall and the door of the cubicles is so narrow. I said that I would swing the door open into the guy's face if he ever peeped on me. I was so proud of my own idea. Seriously, I thought it was a good idea.
Until I entered the toilet and realised that the door swings inwards.
Ok larh, so next time someone peeps on me, I'll just hope I have my shoes with me (preferably my point shoes) so that when I see his face I would use that shoe to hit him. HARD.
I just realised how much singlish I speak nowadays. Haiz. But at least, I am aware of it when I present. And next monday, my group has unanimously voted me as one of the presenters of my PBL project. How nice. I hope I don't screw up...
6 pm is approaching and I have coaching classes today. So yup. That's all.
